Karen Reymundo PA-C

Karen Reymundo, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant providing medical dermatology care at Pure Dermatology in Kyle, Texas.

A native of Austin, Karen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin, graduating with University Honors. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Following graduation, Karen participated in a humanitarian medical deployment, providing emergency medical care to more than 600 unaccompanied migrant children in a resource-limited setting. This experience helped shape her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Karen spent several years practicing outpatient pediatric primary care, where she gained experience diagnosing and managing a variety of skin conditions, including inflammatory and infectious diseases, as well as pediatric and congenital skin disorders. Prior to joining Pure Dermatology, she served on the Surgical Hospitalist team at Texas Children's Hospital in Austin, where she cared for patients with complex surgical conditions, performed consultations, and managed preoperative and postoperative care across multiple surgical specialties.

Karen believes in taking the time to listen to her patients, understand their concerns, and develop individualized treatment plans. She is passionate about patient education and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their care.

Karen is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, licensed by the Texas Medical Board, and a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates. She is fluent in English and Tagalog.

Outside of medicine, Karen enjoys traveling, exploring Austin's restaurant scene, painting, and interior decorating.
